I’ve been a White Sox fan since I was a little girl! Being from the Southside you can’t help but to be a Sox fan and if anyone says anything different they are a traitor! When my friend Sister Save-A-Lot told me about the Whites Sox Kids Club, I knew immediately it was time to introduce the boychild to one of my favorite past times.

I signed him up several months ago and his package finally came in the mail this week!

Ok, I’m ashamed but it’s true I’ve become one of “those” moms…

That’s right one of those sappy moms who wants to show the world what her boychild made her for Mother’s Day! When his teacher at the daycare asked if I could join the kids for snack time today I couldn’t say no. My lil boy was so happy when I walked in his class today; he couldn’t wait to give me my gift. I wasn’t expecting anything so it was quite a surprise when his teacher handed me this…

It was supposed to be a flower but the seems didn’t bloom in time…

The best part about it was the boychild made it all by himself!

So, there you have it I’ve officially become a sucker! Who knew! I guess motherhood really does change you.

If you are a busy mom like myself or just plain busy you might enjoy Kraft’s MilkBite Milk & Granola Bars.

I won’t lie, I refuse to drink a glass of milk! Even though I know the importance of drinking a glass of milk something happened to me when I was a kid that won’t allow me to drink milk a whole 20+ year later,  but I actually like these bars. Even though my son is almost grown.. Ok, he is 3 but anyway I’m still learning my way around this parenting thing. I know I won’t be perfect but I don’t want to mess it up either.  Even though I’m busy I try to spend as much time with my son as possible, sometimes too much time… Not long ago, I got a chance to take my boychild to Disney on Ice, Dare to Dream with the Chicagoland Mom Squad and we had a ball. The truth of the manner is I’ve always loved Disney on Ice as well as the Circus, now I just have a pint size reason to go.

Well tomorrow February 3, 2012 is National Wear Red Day in support of women with heart disease. This is my 3rd year participating in the campaign and I want it to get bigger than it was the year before so I need your help! Please put on your red and send a picture to info@bleedingheartproject.org.

Alright ladies, I’ve always been a fan of doing kegel exercises. For those of you not familiar, kegel exercises are exercises you do to strengthen the muscles of your pelvic floor,  they are often called the “love muscles”. These exercise help you to build your muscles down there, giving you better control during sex, childbirth, etc.

I’ve been doing them for a long time now and I always wondered if I was doing them right or not! So when Intimina sent over there Laselle Kegel Exercisers, I couldn’t wait to give them a try.

You can buy these balls in 3 different weights 1 oz, 1/3 oz. and 1.7 oz, they can be used together or separately.  You apply some of the Intimina Feminine Moisturizer put the balls inside of your vagina and you go about your daily routine. The balls will gently vibrate forcing your pelvic muscles to flex around the balls, effectively strengthening your muscles. What I like most about the exerciser is they ensure you are doing your kegel excercises right. After you get used to it and strengthen your pelvic muscles you will see a major difference during sex and childbirth activities. Doing these exercises can also help women dealing with incontinence and menopause.

As a first-time single parent, I make it a priority spend family time with my boychild! Growing up, I didn’t get to have those precious moments with my parents, so I make it my business to make sure we get out and do fun things..

This week I took the Boychild to Brookfield Zoo to see the Holiday Magic Light Festival…

Somehow my boychild was able to make it out alive, as his behavior was not the best!

Merry Christmas!!

Last week Swa-Rai.com in conjunction with Oral B and Mommy Parties hosted a Winnie the Pooh Movie Viewing Party for the kids at Forest Park Public Library!

My son absolutely loves brushing his teeth so this party was right up our alley!

We kicked off the party with Flash Cards.

The children along with their parents got a chance to participate in describing each flash card… The children loved this part and each them got to keep their own flash card!

Up next it was time for snacks!!

So you know what was coming next right??

That’s right it was time to watch Winnie the Pooh…

After the move the kids colored Winnie the Pooh coloring sheets for their chance to win their very own Oral B Stages toothbrush.

After all that fun it was time to go but not before I talked with the parents about Oral B stages. I love how Oral B grows with your child offering toothbrushes for every stage of your child’s life.
